So Forgive. Maybe?

Do we not sometimes want

To pay them back

In their own coin?

To hold on fast to our anger

And long for them to hurt

As we have?

To wish them as much evil 

As we got

And hope we are in good graces

With Karma

So we can watch them crash and burn?

But do we not later realize

That we keep growing

More and more in rage

As we hold on to the past?

That they take more and more from us

Even though we were the ones wronged?

And does forgiveness

Not then bring us  the peace

That we expected from vengeance?

Do we not then finally accept 

That they aren’t worth

Our rest of mind?
